Introducing Beans and Bloom Sutton Life Centre

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of Beans and Bloom - our second coffee at the Sutton Life Centre. After the success of Beans and Bloom Cheam at Whitehall Historic House, we’re excited to expand our mission, continue building community, and create even more opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.

A Partnership with Purpose

This new venture is made possible through our strong partnership with Sutton Council, who share our commitment to empowering adults with learning disabilities. Thanks to them, we’ve created a space where high-quality coffee, community connection, and life-changing opportunities come together.

Real Training. Real Skills. Real Impact.

At Beans and Bloom, our trainees (the adults with learning disabilities and/or autism we work with) work alongside experienced baristas to serve delicious coffees and freshly made cakes in a 5* hygiene rated environment. This hands-on training builds employability skills, confidence, and a sense of purpose. Every purchase from Beans and Bloom directly supports their development and opens doors to future opportunities.

A Hub of Learning and Belonging

Our new coffee shop is based in the same building as the new Orchard Hill College, an Outstanding specialist college that will provide transformative learning experiences for 72 students with SEND. The College will focus on equipping students with essential skills, qualifications, and work experience to prepare them for future employment. We’ll also be neighbours with the Sutton Council Preparation for Adulthood (PFA) Hub, which offers support, guidance, and information for adults with SEND, helping them to navigate the early stages of independence. This unique setting makes Beans and Bloom at the Sutton Life Centre so much more than a café… it’s part of a wider initiative focused on empowerment, growth, and community support.

Located within a library, Beans and Bloom Sutton Life Centre is designed to be a welcoming place for the whole community. Whether you’re enjoying a coffee between study sessions, looking for a work-from-home alternative, meeting a friend, or settling in with a book, we invite you to relax with a hot drink and a slice of something freshly-baked and sweet.
