NICKEL SUPPORT ENTERPRISES
One of our core goals is to increase paid employment opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. With less than 6% of people with learning disabilities in paid employment, something needs to be dramatically altered to improve this low statistic.
We have therefore developed a number of enterprises,which harness the wonderful skills and qualities of the trainees, and this has translated into brilliant products we can sell to the public. Any profits that are generated go directly back into the organisation and are used to offer paid employment.
INTERESTINGLY DIFFERENT
We wanted to create a place to showcase the wonderful upcycled furniture our trainees at Nickel Support create, in our workshops. As well as selling other wonderful products, created by ourselves and other social enterprises around the UK. Whilst also providing a platform to allow adults with learning disabilities to be front and centre in their local community.
Our shop is just next door to our Carshalton hub and ran by shop manager Dave with the help of several Nickel Support trainees. Trainees can work there up to four times per week, assisting with all aspects of the day to day running.

DONATIONS
We survive and thrive from furniture donations and we are always looking for new solid wood pieces our team can upcycle, So please contact the team if there is anything you think we may be able to make use of.

JAMS AND RELISH'S WITH A DIFFERENCE
Our kitchen team have worked hard to develop a range of delicious jams and relish’s . These are available in our shop Interestingly Different alongside a range of other food and drink from Social enterprises around the UK
NICKEL SUPPORT CAFE
Our pop-up café opens every Friday 1-3pm at our Nickel Studio. We serve fresh coffee, cakes and treats, which are baked by our trainees throughout the week.
We have strong support from people in the local area and it is a space to bring people together, to educate people about what our trainees are capable of, and build relationships with members of our community.
