In January this year we moved into our new premises on Beynon Road, Carshalton. It's safe to say we are now fully settled in and it really does feel like home.

We were fortunate to have had the building purchased and renovated for our use by The James Trust, who love what we do and saw the benefit their investment could bring.

The James Trust was set up in 2007 by the late Richard James, a lifelong resident of the London Borough of Sutton. The Trust's ethos is to enhance the life chances and quality of life of adults and young people with a learning disability, or who have a dual diagnosis of a learning disability and a mental health diagnosis, who live within the London Borough of Sutton. We will forever be grateful for the support from The James Trust, allowing us to make our vision a reality.

You can read more about the history of the trust and the work they have done here.

The new building, Richard James Hub is set over four floors and fully wheelchair accessible, it has been finished to a high specification with a modern spacious feel, making it a wonderful place for the trainees to work.

Our newly fitted kitchen on the top floor allows us to spend more time developing products for our food enterprises, whilst our upcyclers are enjoying our new light and spacious workshop on the first floor. Our enterprises are really flourishing, with wonderful new products being developed on the ground floor.

After previously having our service all at separate sites, it is now great to be all under one roof, with the shop literally next door. Being under one roof allows us to work more closely and efficiently. We are currently working in bubbles due to Covid but hope this will change soon so we all mix and be one big family together!
